Forever Queen
Sat 14 Jun 2025 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM BST
Berkhamsted Civic Centre, HP4 3HB
Description
Forever Queen have been going for 12 years and have played some of the best venues in the UK and abroad. Queen has been one of THE most successful rock bands of all time and, as musicians, the band say "it is an honour to be able to recreate their music and image in our show."
Celebrating Queen isn’t about singing their songs, its about the little details that the band demonstrate through the music, props, and costumes. Their attention to detail highlights the lengths they go to in order to provide a true experience of Queen.
The Band
Mark Mulholland – Roger Taylor (Drums and Backing Vocals)
Mark is a highly skilled musician lending his talent to the piano, guitar, and the drums. Taking on the role of one of the most iconic drummers of all time in no mean feat, and Mark believes the most important part is adopting Roger’s iconic drumming style. In order to do this Mark has had to dissect many of the drumming parts to make them sound as authentic as possible. Mark’s drum kit is an almost exact replica of the kit Roger used at Wembley in 1986 and was custom made for him in America. Recently though, he’s been seen rocking his Roland TD-5 Electric kit as a lot easier to set up and the band will also say: “And turn down!”
Mark has always been a fan of Roger Taylor and is honoured to play him in Forever Queen.
Rich Brewer – John Deacon (Bass)
A talented multi-instrumentalist and music coach, Rich locks down the difficult bass parts with ease while looking good doing it with his selection of great authentic outfits (including THOSE shorts!)
Gary Jeffrey – Brian-May (Guitar and Backing Vocals)
Not only is Gary an extremely talented guitarist, he’s also a life-sized Brian, towering over the stage, band and audience while enjoying every moment on stage, which really enhances the tribute experience.
Karl Hill – Freddie Mercury (Lead Vocals)
Returning to Forever Queen from his original stint in 2015-2016, Karl loves being a frontman and entertaining the crowd almost as much as Puns. Any Freddie will tell you it’s a daunting task to pay tribute to one of the best voices in rock, but Karl enjoys the challenge and still tries to let a bit of his own self shine through (the puns….) to connect with the crowd and make their memorable.
Karl loves any music with melody and interesting rhythms ranging from Pop to Metal and plays multiple instruments. He’s excited to work on incorporating live Piano into the Forever Queen experience alongside the Guitar for Crazy Little Thing Called Love. If you’re lucky, he might sneak get a few cheeky bars of a pop song in before Crazy starts playing, until Brian catches on and tells him off!
Doors and bars at 6.30pm, band on stage at 7.30pm.
This is a mixed seated / standing event and limited seating is available for those arriving early. As always with our shows, blue badge holders or those who have difficulty standing for a length of time, please email us in advance to reserve seating and/or tick the relevant box on the booking form.
